A bridal session is simply a portrait session scheduled before the wedding, usually paired with your hair and makeup trial, your finished dress, and whatever veil or accessories make you feel most like yourself. It’s the chance to see your entire bridal look come together… and to create beautiful portraits without the pressure of a wedding-day clock.

Kaylen’s bridal session felt completely effortless. Every detail was already thought through, the light was soft and flattering, and she carried this quiet, confident energy that made the whole afternoon feel calm and intentional. For this session we photographed the bride just one month before her wedding. Her dress was fully finished after all the alterations, so she could experience the final look exactly as it would be on the day.

The bouquet she held for this session wasn’t the exact one she carried down the aisle. But it was extremely special as Kaylen created this one herself. There’s something really meaningful about a bride designing her own flowers for these portraits, and it added such a personal touch to the entire session.

The bouquet was different from the one she carried on the wedding day—and that’s completely okay. A bridal session doesn’t have to recreate every single detail. It’s simply an opportunity to create something beautiful that feels like you.
