We personally scout and hike every retreat location beforehand, ensuring we know the lay of the land, no guesswork, just real experience. Unlike competitors who might book a spot sight-unseen or rely on generic itineraries, we guarantee an intimate, insider's perspective.
Our Retreats are like nothing you have ever experienced before!
We proudly design one-of-a-kind styled setups, thoughtfully connected to each location's culture. For example, a Scottish elopement with tartan and heather, and a stunning Maori elopement with traditional elements in New Zealand. We find that the true way to connect with our retreat locations is by celebrating the place, its culture, and it's people.
We prioritize a warm, drama free community where photographers bond like besties. Many retreats lean skill flexing, which can feel stiff or cutthroat. We try to flip that, making Ivy & Co. a safe, joyful space where the focus is on friendship as much as the craft

A styled retreat is a specialized event designed for photographers to enhance their skills, network with peers, and gain inspiration in a creative environment. These retreats typically feature hands-on sessions led by experienced photographers and other industry professionals. When you join us at our styled retreats you'll be with people who have been to the locations and know the area so that you can feel confident when booking with us. We do not plan our retreats at any location we have not been to ourselves. This gives you the confidence to join in with us!
The "styled" aspect refers to carefully curated scenes, featuring couples and unique locations that photographers can capture. This allows attendees to build their portfolios while experimenting with new ideas and techniques. Beyond the technical skills, we foster community, and provide a relaxing atmosphere for networking, and collaborating with other creatives.

The Experience
Meet up with us at our airbnb for a little get to know one another and hang out. This gathering will allow our team to make introductions and get you all set up and answering any last minute questions you may have before heading out.
We'll be offering six nights stay on the South Island of New Zealand with shoots set in several areas on the island. We'll be renting out our own little place, so there will be no other guests other than our team at that time. All breakfast and dinners will be provided!
Networking
Adventuring
You will be working with some of our favorite vendors and building your own relationships. So while we collaborate with locals, you're instilling trust for future business. You'll get to meet the "Ivy" team, and we can't wait to become life-long friends. This go around we'll also have a special speaker (while this will be optional to join we highly suggest you stick around for it).
$1500 - bring a significant other, travel buddy, or BFF (this is an addition to your package)
This is for someone that is NOT photographing. They will be able to stay in your room with you at the bnb for the full 3 days and 4 nights. They can participate in our welcome party and enjoy the food as well as spend whatever downtime with you. They are not permitted to be part of the shoots but will have plenty of time to explore on their own and see the incredible sites Scotland has to offer.
Throw on those boots (but bring sandals) and get ready! We're hiking around Mount Cook and the views will take your breath away. If you're not "excellent" at hiking, don't stress! We'll go at our team's pace. Note: the area we'll be in requires moderate hiking. Be sure to dress appropriately. We'll be putting out a "packing list" soon to help.

Once your contact is signed and payment is made you will receive a confirm email from us. Once your booking is confirmed, it's time to get EXCITED AND START PACKING YOUR BAGS for this amazing adventure you just gifted yourself!

CHECK YOUR EMAIL
You will be receiving a proposal via Honeybook once your application has been submitted, so please make sure your email is entered correctly. This proposal will include package specifics + your invoice. If you choose to pay through Honeybook a 3% fee will be added. You can also pay via Venmo and we will mark payments paid manually on your proposal. You will see the amount you need to pay for the deposit on the Honeybook invoice.
