There are some announcements that make all of the planning, dreaming, and behind-the-scenes work feel worth it.
This is one of them.
I am so excited to finally share that Joanna and Nathan of Joanna Eliza Photography will be joining us at the Isle of Skye Photography Retreat in March 2027.
If you’ve followed their work for any amount of time, you know exactly why this is such a big deal.
Their images have this incredible way of making you feel like you’re stepping into a real moment instead of looking at a photograph. Their work is emotional, honest, adventurous, and deeply connected to the people they’re photographing. In a world where so much photography can start to feel the same, their work always feels intentional and genuine.
And the best part?
The Isle of Skye isn’t just another destination for them.
It’s home.

For years I’ve admired not only the work they create, but the way they tell stories and the heart behind everything they do. Having them join us to teach and share their approach with retreat attendees is something I’m genuinely thrilled about.
If you have yet to check them out you should do that: @joannaelizaphotography
But this retreat has always been about more than one educator.
It’s about the experience.
It’s about standing on a cliffside overlooking the sea and realizing no photo you’ve ever seen truly prepared you for what Scotland feels like in person.
It’s about sunrise adventures, late-night conversations, winding roads through the Highlands, and finding yourself creatively inspired in ways you didn’t expect.
It’s about being surrounded by photographers who understand why you’re willing to wake up at 4 a.m. for good light.
It’s about creating space to breathe, learn, create, and remember why you fell in love with photography in the first place.

Over five days together we’ll explore some of the most breathtaking landscapes Scotland has to offer, photograph incredible sessions, learn from talented educators, and build relationships with photographers who may very well become lifelong friends.
The Quiraing.
The Fairy Glen.
Neist Point.
Places you’ve probably seen in photos a hundred times but somehow still leave you speechless when you’re standing there yourself.
And while the landscapes are incredible, what people tend to remember most from retreats like this are the people.
The conversations.
The laughter.
The shared adventures.
The moments in between.
Joanna and Nathan are going to bring so much value to this experience, and I honestly cannot wait to see photographers learn from them while experiencing the island they know and love so well.

If Scotland has been on your bucket list, if you’ve been craving creative inspiration, or if you’ve been looking for an experience that feels bigger than a workshop, this retreat might be exactly what you’ve been waiting for.
I’ll be sharing more details, behind-the-scenes planning, and a few special opportunities over on Instagram, so make sure you’re following along.
And if you’re curious about joining us, send me a message or hit the link below. I’d love to tell you more about what we’re creating.
March 20–25, 2027.
Scotland is going to be unforgettable.
